This souvenir jacket is a project in collaboration with White Whale & Co.( a Hong Kong based vintage store ) It is prototyped from vintage Vietnam Souvenir Jacket and remade from vintage deadstock US Army Liner. We employed a garment factory in Japan for the chain-stitch embroidery on the back, referring to the Hong Kong mass migration wave in recent years,  and the additions of the buttons, pockets and rib cuffs.

WHITE WHALE & CO. 及 OLDSOILISM迎來首次的聯承，由2020年開始籌備，以越戰Quilted Liner Souvenir Jacket為藍圖，重製自全新庫存US Army Liner，響應香港近兩年移民潮作構圖設計，再由日本工廠加工上鎖鏈刺繡、盤扣、口袋、羅紋袖口等，製作成Hong Kong Quilted Liner Souvenir Jacket。

Embroidery Souvenir Jacket沿自二戰美軍在日本橫須賀駐軍期間，為紀念越洋作戰的經歷。士兵們會於當地訂製一些富有當地特色的服飾衣錦還鄉，服装設計上亦會參照美軍公發服的元素去去製作。及後60年代越戰，在越美軍士兵延續了這個傳統，從而産生了Vietnam Souvenir Jacket。原版背部刺繡圖經典為一越南地圖，上下或配上越南「VIET-NAM」與胡志明市舊名「SAIGON」字樣，或配上一些關於越戰的語句，其中最經典的必數「WHEN I DIE I’LL GO TO HEAVEN BECAUSE I’VE SPENT MY TIME IN HELL」，以表達士兵們在越南的痛苦經歷。
